OUR ALUMNI

This page features some of the Alumni of Partial Credit! The page groups people together who joined in the same year in chronological order!

2010

Devin Trager (he/him)

Fall | Bass | Business Manager

One of Devin’s favorite PC traditions was apple picking because it was a good way to get to know each other (though he was bummed that PC didn't keep up with laser tag outings). He got the nickname Curious George to replace the first one he had gotten, and now people just kind of look at him and go "... yeah" when he mentions it. He doesn’t even remember what the first one was. He is currently working at a job he didn't go to school for, but he’s getting back into the arts again lately which has been exciting and fulfilling.

2011

Brian Sardinha.jpg

Brian Sardinha (he/him)

Fall | Tenor

Brian Sardinha recorded with PC for longer than he was in PC. He also competed at ICCAs with PC after leaving RPI. Brian’s connection with PC has transcended his college association.

2012

Rowan Borkowski.jpg

Rowan Borkowski (he/they)

Fall | Alto | Music Director, Secretary

Rowan is a large assemblage of cells that have agreed to call themselves a single organism. Though they arranged many songs for Partial Credit, their proudest contribution is a certain recurring item in the group's annual gift exchange. Rowan spends his free time on tabletop gaming, watering his houseplant jungle, and singing duets with his cat.

Greg Sowiak.jpg

Greg Sowiak (he/they)

Fall | Bass | Assistant Music Director, Secretary

Greg sang in PC while serving his 2012-2016 sentence at RPI. After that, he YOLO'd it out to Seattle and has been genetically modifying humans, dancing, and playing video games ever since. His favorite PC memories are: filming the music video, performing with the Afro-Cuban drumming group, and never throwing up in a flower bed during countless raucous PC parties. He earned his PC nickname 'Derf' (which is just 'Fred' backwards) through an incident involving ferrofluid and neodymium magnets.

Jeric Bautista.jpg

Jeric Bautista (he/him)

Fall | Bass | Media Manager

Jeric was a Mechanical Engineering and Design, Innovation and Society dual major from the Class of 2015. His PC nicknames were Roi Mu5tang and Tony Hawk. He loved having friends to make music with, and still keeps up with other PC alumni. His favorite PC memory involves completely botching a gluten free pizza recipe with other PC members. Jeric spent nearly 7 years working in the 3D printing industry with re:3D and recently moved to commercial aerospace, working as a mechanical engineer for Axiom Space.

2013

Rebecca Halzak.jpg

Rebecca Halzack (she/her)

Fall | Alto | Business Manager

Becca was a Civil Engineering major from the Class of 2017. She is a proud celebrator of the first annual Cream Cheese Day.

2014

Quinn Miller.jpg

Quinn Miller (she/her)

Fall | Tenor | Business Manager

Other than constantly singing all the time 24/7, Quinn has been spending her days as a project manager for various video games. She has way too many creative interests and continues to collect them seemingly at random, and no, she cannot be stopped.

Alex MacNair.jpg

Alex MacNair (he/him)

Fall | Bass | Secretary, Treasurer

Alex was a Computer Science and Electronic Media, Arts and Communication dual major from the Class of 2018. In his spare time, he enjoys hacking on personal projects and creating various forms of digital art.

2015

Kara Jimcosky.jpg

Kara Jimcosky (she/her)

Spring | Soprano | Music Director

Kara was a Chemical Engineering major and Chemistry Master's student from the Class of 2018/2019. Kara chose to defer her acceptance from Fall 2014 to the next semester, leading to a change in the group's Bylaws and the creation of her nickname, "Article III, Section 5b." Some of her favorite PC memories include eating Ben and Jerry's after rehearsal, playing card games, and telling terrible fruit jokes. Kara works as an engineer contractor in the life sciences and pharmaceutical industries for various work sites. She spends most of her time at her home in Seattle with her boyfriend/PC alumni Coen Valk.

Claire Thomas.jpeg

Claire Thomas (she/her)

Fall | Soprano | Secretary

Claire was a Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences major from the Class of 2019. She joined PC in 2015, and after becoming the demon in "Bottom of the River," quickly became PC's unphotographable spoopy soprano with a love for silly card games. Now that she has graduated, you can find her up north in Glens Falls making video games, petting her cats, and enjoying caffeinated beverages!

Caiti Vinopal.jpeg

Caiti Vinopal (she/her)

Fall | Soprano | Secretary

Caiti has so far enjoyed being a cog in the corporate machine of Corning but occasionally longs for simpler times when she was a blade of grass. She still sings in the car (and shower) though not with a family of lovely weirdos as in college times. Caiti continues to hike, craft, play video games and read more than humanly possible.

Sage Freter (Altabef).jpg

Sage Freter (she/they)

Fall | Tenor | Business Manager

PC is the best. Sage absolutely adored having that family through all of her five years at RPI. Every memory is a good one. Now she’s chilling in Bayonne, NJ, doing that adult thing, married to PC alum Jake Altabef and having a grand ole' time. She wishes she was still singing and partying like it was 2018.

2016

Caoilin Ramsay.heic

Caoilin Ramsay (she/her)

Fall | Alto | Music Director, Assistant Music Director

Caoilin was a Computer and Systems Engineering major from the Class of 2020, now working for DEKA in the great state of New Hampshire. In her spare time, she enjoys hiking, knitting, doing all sorts of puzzles, and looking for frogs. During her time in PC, she aggravated the group by arranging in 5/4, projecting business notes in sublime text, and singing lewd words during warmups. Now no longer a PC member, she can freely admit that she prefers singing when instruments are involved.

Coen Valk.jpg

Coen Valk (he/him)

Fall | Tenor | Secretary

Coen was a Computer Science major from the Class of 2020. He has fond memories of singing together with PC, as well as apple picking and enjoying friends-giving celebrations. Coen was an ex-secretary of PC in his junior year at RPI. Now he lives in Seattle together with another alumna, Kara Jimcosky.

Kob Laats.jpg

Jakob Laats (he/him)

Fall | Bass | Business Manager, Treasurer

Kob was a Mechanical Engineering major from the Class of 2021. Now, he lives in Boston and works at a startup doing mechanical engineering. He is still writing and playing music and loves to hike and rock climb. Most importantly he still loves to eat lasagna.

2017

Maggie McAuliffe.jpg

Maggie McAuliffe (she/her)

Fall | Alto | Music Director, Business Manager, Assistant Music Director

Maggie was an Industrial and Management Engineering major from the Class of 2020. She is so grateful for all the memories she made in PC, from singing in lecture halls, in hallways, on stage and more. She loves spending time with friends, so whether PC was goofing off, working hard at rehearsal, or just enjoying one another's company, so many moments in PC built so much of her college experience. Acting in a silly skit one minute, and creating beautiful music the next, Maggie wouldn't trade her time in PC for the world <3

Jordan Runner.jpg

Jordan Runner (he/him)

Fall | Tenor | Secretary, Media Manager

Jordan was a Mechanical Engineering major from the Class of 2021. He is an eclectic ambivert who transitions rapidly between being reserved and talking way too much about his interests. He prides himself on his ability to write spontaneous analytical essays in under five minutes and his excessive knowledge of anime. Jordan’s favorite PC memories include trying to fall asleep in the snow during a 6:00 AM afterparty walk up the approach, sneaking into Sage Labs to watch Over the Garden Wall, and nearly breaking his bones during the first PC ski trip. Since graduating, Jordan has been working as a system engineer at a nuclear plant but finds most fulfillment  singing, writing, producing music, and raging at Elden Ring.

2018

Peter Chinburg.jpg

Peter Chinburg (he/him)

Spring | Bass | Treasurer

Proud of his New Hampshire citizenship, Peter enjoys all things outdoors: hiking, camping, skiing (snow and water), etc. You could always see him at rehearsal trying to incorporate unskilled yet enthusiastic beat boxing rhythms into his bass part. He is sure Partial Credit was conveniently named after him, sporting the slick initials of PC.

Amber Butler (she/her)

Fall | Bass | Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Treasurer

Amber is a Geology major from the Class of 2024. This is the bio she wrote: "I may often be lazy and procrastinate but I"

Gabby Dumani.jpg

Matt Zbikowski.jpg

Matt Zbikowski (he/him)

Fall | Tenor/Bass | Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Secretary

Matt was a Civil Engineering/MBA student from the Class of 2022/2022. He has a multitude of hobbies, including but not limited to video games, D&D, music, reading, film photography, writing, and fountain pens - which is altogether too many hobbies to have time for. At RPI, he did everything in his power to prevent himself from doing schoolwork, instead allowing his interests to consume his free time. His favorite movie is Requiem for a Dream (2000) and his favorite book is The Magus (1965) by John Fowles.

2019

Sheetal Bapu.jpg

Sheetal Bapu (she/her)

Fall | Alto | Business Manager

Sheetal was a Biology major from the Class of 2022. She joined PC not really knowing anything about a cappella, but learning it with PC was something she will remember for a long time. Her favorite times with PC included go crazy go stupid breaks in rehearsal, TND (no explanation necessary), and ski trip :) Sheetal is started med school in Fall 2022 at AMC so she’ll be around to bug PC for the next 4 years!

Ethan Goedken.jpg

Ethan Goedken (he/him)

Fall | Tenor | Music Director, Assistant Music Director

Ethan asks everyone he meets to "draw him like one of their French girls." He only ever wears one sock at a time, and he must alternate which foot gets to wear the sock every hour. His greatest fear is that one day the sloths will catch up to him.

ariii.jpg
ariii.jpg

Arianna Pargen (she/her)

Fall | Soprano | Media Manager

Ari was a Games and Simulation Arts and Sciences and Electronic Arts dual major and Music Composition minor from the Class of 2023. She was PC's resident Loud Person, always willing to talk or vibe. She loves gaming, sharing memes, and hanging out with her friends! Although only 5'1" she is a staunch advocate that good things come in small packages :) 6/10 gamers would recommend, 4/10 gamers are toxic.

ariii.jpg
Rohan Selvan.jpg

Rohan Selvan (he/him)

Fall | Tenor | Music Director, Assistant Music Director, Secretary

Rohan was an Aeronautical Engineering major from the Class of 2022 who has been forced to write this in third person :(, but it’s ok he’s vibing :)

Garret_img.jpg

Garrett Shriver (he/him)

Fall | Bass | Treasurer

Garrett was a Computer and Systems Engineering major from the Class of 2024. You may recognize him from his performance as the Minotaur in PC's Fall 2021 show, where he was beaten up by Natalie. After leaving PC, he had moved to Florida, where he enjoyed hiking, spending time with animals, and bathing in Old Bay in honor of his family members who still reside in the lovely state of Maryland. If Garrett could be anything in the world, he would be good at cribbage.

2021

Natalie Young.jpg

Natalie Young (she/her)

Spring | Soprano | Music Director, Business Manager

Natalie was a Mechanical Engineering major from the Class of 2024. In addition to having been in PC, she was also a member of RPI's Varsity Crew team. She has an irrational fear of wind because she thinks it will blow her away one day. She enjoys using obscure phrases like "heckin' yea bro," "goodness me," "what the flippin' flop," and "aw shuckerdoodles." She also enjoys eating ciabatta bread from the Farmer's Market and not waking up at 4:00 AM!

Susan Hatfalvi.jpg

Susan Hatfalvi (she/her)

Fall | Alto | Music Director, Treasurer, Media Manager

Susan was a Class of 2024 Computer Science major and Fine Arts minor from Rochester, New York. She enjoys drawing, painting, reading, and would love to discuss the latest Spider-Verse movie with anyone who will listen. She has dyed her hair almost every color of the rainbow, and one of her favorite memories in PC is when everyone went to play laser tag, and she got last place by about 2000 points.

Wen Xie.jpg

Wenxuan Xie (he/him)

Fall | Tenor | Secretary

Wen is a Computer and Systems Engineering major from the Class of 2025. He is a guy being a dude with the worst music taste imaginable. His favorite colored pencil flavor is sky blue. He loves rabbits, not pirating anime, and being a professional procrastinator. A master in fighting off invading his daily responsibilities, he finds that he can’t base his whole life around his daily consumption of clarinet reeds.

2022

Jenny Shen.jpg

Jianing Shen (they/them)

Spring | Alto | Treasurer

Jenny was a Cognitive Science co-term student from the Class of 2023/2024. They are a casual enjoyer of cats, starting new personal projects, cooking, gaming, indoor bouldering, and instantaneous travels. They are an individual with a lot of fears like heights, the dark and horror movies, but they're trying to work on the heights part by jumping off of rock walls.

2023

Julian Wong.jpg

Julian Wong (they/them)

Fall | Tenor/Bass/Alto | Assistant Music Director

Julian was a Civil Engineering major and Urban Planning minor from the Class of 2024. Despite assuming the role of tenor, they can also sing bass and even alto at times! Aside from singing, they enjoy riding every train and flying every plane possible (and talking about trains and planes all other times).

Ngoni Mandizha.jpg

Ngonidzashe Mandizha (he/him)

Spring | Bass

Ngoni is a Civil Engineering major from the Class of 2027 who is obsessed with eating foods involving french fries and peanut butter (not at the same time lol). He enjoys working out, singing choir songs, listening to movie soundtracks, and watching UFC fights every month with his friends.
